1. Introduction

Welcome to The Becoming Companies (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, becomingplugins.com (the “Site”), and the purchase and use of our digital products and plugins designed for the Squarespace platform (collectively, the “Services”).

By using our Site or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Site or Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your province or territory to use our Site or make a purchase. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Products and Licensing
3.1 Digital Products

We sell downloadable Squarespace plugins and related digital tools. Each product is delivered electronically after successful payment.

3.2 License Grant

When you purchase a plugin, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the product on the number of Squarespace websites specified in your purchase.

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the plugin or its code.

  • Share the plugin publicly or upload it to third-party sites.

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the plugin, except where permitted by law.

3.3 Ownership

All intellectual property rights in the plugins, documentation, and related materials remain the property of The Becoming Companies. You receive a limited license to use them; ownership is not transferred.

4. Payments, Checkout, and Pricing
4.1 Use of Shopify

Our website uses Shopify as our backend e-commerce platform to manage checkout, payments, order fulfillment, and related transaction processes.

When you make a purchase, your order information and payment details are processed through Shopify’s secure system, in accordance with Shopify’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. You can review those at:

Payments are securely processed via Shopify Payments.

We do not store or have direct access to your full payment card details. All payment information is encrypted and processed in accordance with PCI DSS security standards.

4.3 Pricing and Taxes

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes will be calculated at checkout.
We reserve the right to change prices or correct pricing errors at any time.

5. Refunds and Exchanges

Because our products are digital downloads, all sales are generally final once the files have been delivered.

However, we aim for customer satisfaction. If you experience a technical issue with a plugin, contact us within 14 days of purchase at hello@becomingplugins.com. We may, at our discretion:

  • Provide technical assistance, or

  • Issue a refund if the product is defective and cannot be fixed.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Accidental purchases or buyer’s remorse.

  • Conflicts with other third-party tools or Squarespace customizations.

Any approved refunds will be issued through Shopify’s payment system back to your original payment method.

6. Account Registration

Some features may require account creation on our Site or Shopify’s checkout system. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.

  • Keep your login credentials secure.

  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in misuse or fraud.

Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the product in question.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Montreal, Quebec, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
